My life in animal rescue

Sunday, after a blazing week of recording the audiobook of Queen of America.  I have been in the gorgeous high-tech recording studio in dntn Chi every day, bent to the mike with my engineer pals Mark and Jason, and Suzanne, intrepid long-distance producer on the phone line.  It is going very well.  I am happy to tell you I'm cranking it out like six crazy people.  I have to be my own theater troupe, play all the characters.  I didn't really ponder how much sexier this book is than, say, The Hummingbird's Daughter.  Or how romantic it is.  Dang if there isn't a lot of sensu

Roller Coaster Of Love

I've been in the recording studios here and in LA for two weeks. Sitting on a stool reciting Hummingbird. MY BUTT HURTS! But the recording is really good.

I will post the link here when I have it so you can download the book from Little, Brown. I'd give it out free if I could, but they wouldn't. Spend more money!

I'm not much of a shill, but this time it's worth it. The audio will be on-line around July 14.

Also, the Spanish version of Hummingbird is being rushed--it will be released in September.

Audioslave

Yo, yo, my peeps!

I am so tired! I can't stop this touring! Every time I stop, something else happens. I guess that's good, though, eh???

I got home from Washington DC yesterday. Going to do Printer's Row book fair in Chi tomorrow, then fly to Tucson Sunday. But here's the big news that many of you have been asking me about--including about ten in DC. I'm flying to L.A. Monday to begin recording the AUDIOBOOK of Hummingbird's Daughter. Yes, finally.
