The Road Goes on Forever, The Party Never Ends: Welcome

luis

Hello, all my amigas y amigos, all you readers and Cabora Saints.  As promised for lo these many months: here 'tis.  The all-new website.  It's all pretty and shiny, and give it a sniff.  It's got that new website smell.  You will find many buttons to push that will lead you to many interesting nooks and crannies.  We worked hard with our intrepid designers (Brooklyn in the HOUSE!) to make the website drive like a new BMW.  Give it a spin.

Soon, we will be adding the gradual build-up to the launch of Queen of America.  That will entail a Teresita section with photos you've never seen, documents, some new writings.  After the book is out, I will post my bibliography so you Ph.D. students can get your research into The Saint of Cabora done.  Once the tour is on, of course, it will be dispatches from the road.  (I'm starting in Philadelphia and San Francisco in December--see you there.)

Every weekend, we will post Sketchbook Saturday.  New and old drawings for you.  To keep this interactive, like FB and Twitter, I like to occasionally throw Writing Church session on Sundays; you ask whatever you want and I'll answer you.  Last session, we had 93 conversations.  It was a good day.

Please note the Book Club Corner here on the front page.    Well, don't let me tell you what to do.  Poke aorund!  There's lots of fun stuff.  You'll be seeing surprises, too--stories, essays, poems.  They'll pop up along with blog posts.  And watch for audio!  Excerpts coming soon from my Little, Brown books.  Yay.

If you visit, would you leave a message?  I'm curious to see what you think.  What you'd like to see.  Or just say hey.  The comments section is open.

I'm bowing to Cinderella, who sat here for 1,000 hours hashing this workhorse out for me. And I tip my head to Six Pound Pixel: Ricardo, Shawn and Brock--wizards all.  Hire them!

Happy to be back.  Let's get this party started.

Ever Yrs., L

Book club members have been some of my most enthusiastic and careful readers. I’m thrilled to share my work with you, answer your questions and tell you some of the stories behind the stories. This is our spot, just for us. Here, we can chat:  If I’m nearby, I’ll come and visit your club. Otherwise, we can Skype, talk over the phone or email. Sometimes, I’ll send surprises or hold contests.
