Hey mon ami--it really was written about Gerard Park down by Cajun Village, but I figured nobody had ever heard of it but us honorary Cajuns. Oddly, it took me six years to figure out the exact word count in each stanza. I'm dense that way.

Such a thing could have been written against the backdrop of the "marshland" preserved by the (ex-SLU, now) ULL Ragin' Cajun campus, the Lafayette "Acadian Village" or City Park in New Orleans (as it was). Thank you.
